Living Out God’s Call

About Carter
Carter Pruett is not your average twenty‑something. Raised in Minnesota, he has built his life around two things – loving God wholeheartedly and helping other young adults do the same. He recently accepted a position as the kids pastor at Willmar Assembly of God in Willmar, MN and will soon begin serving families there. Carter is also engaged to his longtime girlfriend Isabella (“Bella”) Johnson; they are getting married in Mora, MN on 21 November 2025. This next season of life will blend marriage, ministry and an ever‑growing passion for mentoring young people…
Faith Journey
- Grew up in Minnesota and came to faith during his teenage years; volunteered in his church’s youth program and led a campus “Youth Alive” club, becoming known as a pastor-in-training.
- Interned at The Waters Church in Sartell, MN, working in youth and tech departments. These years of stacking chairs, running sound and mentoring teenagers taught him humility and resilience.
- In September 2025, accepted a position as kids pastor at Willmar Assembly of God, believing that discipleship begins early and strong children grow into strong adults.
Personal Life
- Engaged to Isabella (“Bella”) Johnson, with a wedding planned for 21 November 2025 in Mora, MN; Bella shares his passion for ministry and will co-lead kids and family ministries.
- Close friends with Jack Lent and many young adults from the Content Factory community, who keep him grounded and provide accountability.
- Enjoys reading theology, hiking Minnesota’s trails, discovering new coffee shops and spending quality time with Bella and their families; his humor and humility make him easy to relate to.
Vision & Mission
Carter’s vision is simple: help young adults become strong, resilient Christians. He believes that today’s generation is hungry for authenticity and purpose. Whether through preaching, one-on-one mentorship, or simply sharing life together, Carter wants to help young adults discover their identity in Christ and live boldly. His new role as a kids pastor will allow him to invest in children’s lives before they hit their teens, laying a foundation of faith that can withstand the pressures of adolescence.
